Materials Manager · Halliburton · Aberdeen, Scotland
I build the data tools that operations actually run on.
Ali Ibrahim — fifteen years in oilfield, retail and public-sector supply chain, now pairing that with an MS in Data Science. Not another dashboard gallery: shipped calculators, simulators and pipelines that people use to make decisions.
The short version
Operations first. Data science as leverage.
I run materials for an oilfield-services operation: the parts, the planning, the suppliers, the numbers that decide whether a rig waits. Fifteen years of that — across energy, retail and government — taught me where spreadsheets stop scaling and where a real tool has to take over.
The MS in Data Science was to close that gap properly. What comes out of it isn't slideware — it's software: a 96-formula CPIM calculator shipped as a web and mobile app, a Monte-Carlo safety-stock simulator, and the data plumbing behind them.

Run the numbers yourself
The full CPIM formula engine — 27 formulas today, working toward the complete 96 — runs client-side in your browser. No server round-trip, real computation. Alongside it, a Python-backed Monte-Carlo simulator that genuinely needs a server.
